Week 2 of the 2012 Season

Fast time for the 360 Sprints tonight was Trevor Turnbull at 11.600. Considering the all-time track record of 11.434 has stood since 2004 Turnbull was hooked up in the Doug Rutz prepared sprinter. Justin Youngquist and Devin Madonia won the heat races. The main event belonged to “Big Show” Michael Harris. For 9 years Harris has chased a win at Skagit Speedway and tonight his dream was realized. Harris went to the high side of the track on the start and was never really challenged. Second through fifth were Turnbull, Kelsey Carpenter, Jonathan Jorgenson and Alan Munn.

Hot laps session; I missed Michael’s actual lap time but he finished as 3rd quick out of the 360′s. Not bad at all.

Qualifying; Ran a 11.97 lap time for 6th quick for the 3rd week in a row.

Heat race #2; Started inside front row, Mike and Kelsey battled back and forth for 1st with mike taking a strong lead. In the last lap Michaels car popped out of gear and he fell into last place. News from the pits state the issue is with the drive line. Mike and the crew are working diligently to pull out the damaged drive line and get the new one in in time for the A main.

Grand Opening! I thought they had one prior to me showing up at the Kent stand, but all the fans of the Foxy Lady Latte waited for my car to show up, and man oh man check out these Ladies….
